Customer Services

If you have concerns regarding the services you are receiving, you may discuss them with your case manager, provider, or therapist directly. In the event that you need further assistance, additional support is available by contacting Customer Services.

Hours of Operation

Our offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We are closed on US National Holidays, and if you are experiencing a mental health emergency you can call (989) 356-2161 or (800) 968-1964 any time, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  If you are leaving a message via phone or email outside of our hours of operation, please ensure the following information is included in your message.

  4. A brief description of your concern

Someone from our Customer Service Team will follow up with you within 1-2 business days. 

About Customer Services

The NeMCMHA Customer Services team is here to help the current and potential individuals we serve navigate the CMH system, and provide information about other resources and support available in Northern Michigan. If needed, our team can arrange free interpretive services for people with limited English proficiency or hearing impairments.

The role of our Customer Services team is to:

  • Help you learn about services and how to access them.
  • Answer your questions about local CMH programs and processes or refer you to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist you with questions about eligibility and financial issues.
  • Listen to your concerns and help you find resolutions with the assistance of the appropriate staff.
  • Assist you with your grievance and appeal options.
