Infant and Early Childhood Services
Infant and Early Childhood Services
About These Services
Infant and Early Childhood Services provide intensive in‐home services for families with an adult caregiver who has a serious mental illness and is parenting an infant/toddler. An infant/toddler with a DSM‐V diagnosis may also be the primary individual served.
The focus of this program is developing positive relationships between the parent and infant/toddler and preventing behavioral and emotional dysfunction in the future. Also available in this program are “Early Childhood Services” for children ages 3 – 6 who are experiencing regulatory disorders or other disruptions in their development. Another facet of this program includes consultation and referral to early‐childhood programs including Day One, Early On, Early Head Start, and Head Start.
